Staying Positive in 2013
I know it has been a tough few years for many people, but this year we all have the opportunity to make changes that will help us in creating a better year than ever before.

There are a few Keys that you may desire to try I have found that by using the Keys I have been able to create more positive changes for my self and other people in my life.

Key #1- You are the only person who can change your life: it is up to you to decide what you desire and go for it. Make an effort to be the person you really desire to be. Life is so precious don't, just go along for the ride be the driver.

Key #2- Take Responsibility for your own actions: Be the first to apologize even if you still think you are right. Being right is okay but being able to make someone else feel better is amazing. If this really bothers you to think about apologizing when you know you are right! You may be unaware that this is just your ego wanting attention. The ego is like that little devil sitting on your shoulder telling you that you are right and won't cave in and apologize to anyone when you are right. Don't talk bad about others this is very negative and will also create the same for you. Really we are much more than rude and angry words aren't we? Raise the expectations you have for your self instead. Be the first to compliment others let go of the need to have all the attention.

Key #3- Really put forth an effort to be Positive in all that you think, do and say. You will notice that when you are positive you seem to have a sense of peacefulness around you. Other people are attracted to you because of the energy you are bringing forth. Notice when a negative thought or feeling comes in and banish it immediately by hitting the cancel button in your mind. Now look for a more positive way to replace that thought with. Smile often it is really hard to be negative when you are smiling.

Through out my lifetime I have been given many Keys that have helped me to overcome adversity and to be a more spiritually motivated person. I have found that by using these Keys in my daily life I now recognize when I am coming from ego in my thoughts or in what I say to other people.

The Sign of the Lion

This morning I asked Spirit what I should write about in this newsletter. Clearly I received Lion and Sign, wow I had to think about this one for awhile pondering what this could be about and was it the direction I should take this newsletter. What I received is, yes! Yes! Yes! I still wasn't totally clear on what the meaning of Lion really was so I started looking up the meaning of lion through a book of titled "The Secret Language of Signs" by Denise Linn. This is a book that I have had for many years and it seems to always be right on track. It is a good book to have around to interpret your dreams.
The Lion symbolizes Majesty, Power, Bravery and Leadership. It may be a time in your life to take control with absolute confidence and strength.
This may be a time to explore your passions and to live life fully and courageously.

After reading this I thought to myself what is it I can take from this message? and use it in my newsletter. Believe it or not it takes me awhile to get these written. I believe there is a reason for this and that I continue writing them. Okay so here are my intuitive thoughts on what Lion means to us right now as you read this or as I write this. Fore the message is to be shared.

We all have had times in our lives where we have forgotten about the things we were passionate about and we are living day to day not day dreaming any more of the things that we really desire in life. We are just too busy to be frivolous and just go for our desires and dreams. This may be because you are having a financial hardship or things are not going so well at work or family. There are many things that we put before our selves and our passions wishes, hopes and dreams. Heck some people may not even realize they are passionate about something because they are so busy struggling along in life. But Lion is telling us that it is time to look for the things in life that make us passionate. Yes that might take some courage on your part. It may be time to make a list of things that bring out your passion or of your hopes and dreams. If you do not know how about just writing down the things that you would like to do that would bring you happiness and joy. Once you have your list no matter how long or short, take time to read it every day. Visualize the outcome and how good it makes you feel. Do not go into the whole thought process of how and when it will happen that is where we tend to block off what we desire for we get stuck in the whole scenario of how to get there. Lion tells us to be strong and courageous, maybe it is time to let go of the old thoughts and feelings about things that you have no control of.
Above of all believe in your self and in your ability to create what ever you desire and that you are passionate about. You are stronger than you know, if you set your sights on your goals and believe that there is only one outcome, that it is the best one for you and your greater good.

Make this year one that stands apart from the past.
Ask yourself where do, I want to be six months from now?
Next keep visualizing the answer to the above question you have just answered. I would write this down and put it in a safe place for the next six months then take it out and see the outcome.

Dear friends, I am very grateful for the input I receive from you about the newsletter. I appreciate that you are taking the time to read it. Thank you, please keep the emails coming in. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am also very thankful for the confirmations I receive from the readings I do for many of you. This tells me that my Angels and Spirit Guides are connecting with your Spirit Guides on a higher level, bringing forth the information I need to give to you at the time.

We all have Angels and Spirit Guides to guide us and to keep us on our higher pathway but it first has to be your choice, to invite them to guide you upon your chosen path.

I talk daily with my Guardian Angels and Spirit guides, I also call upon the Gods and Goddesses for guidance and direction. Each day I am amazed at how accurate they are. I have noticed that lately I am hearing them with more clarity, just last week I had a very strong feeling about going to a meeting. I have to say I really look forward to going to these meetings once a month they are so informative. So, when I kept receiving thoughts and feelings that were telling me it may not be a good idea to go, I listened. My husband had been feeling these same feelings and hearing the same thoughts in his mind. A few hours before the meeting we both started telling each other about the messages we were receiving. Instantly we decided it would be a good idea to skip this time. The funny thing is that we both had thoughts that someone may be there that has the flu or is contagious. This person may not have even realized it. The room is really quite crowded so our decision was made. The day actually turned out quite wonderful for us.

The reason I told this story was to let you know that you too are able to receive messages that will help you to stay on your pathway. It really is easier than you may think! We all have that little Angel on one shoulder your Guardian Angel and the little Devil on the other which is also known as the Ego. If you have a thought that seems to come in a few times or several times during the day or week pay attention to it. I usually start paying attention when I have a thought that hits me twice then I really notice when it happens again and look for the best way to interpret the information I am receiving. I also will do a double check if I am feeling negative feelings from the message I am receiving. I ask that if this information is just coming from ego. Then if I feel strongly that it is not coming from my Guardian Angel, I demand it to go. We all have intuition and a sense of knowing right from wrong. This also works in the spiritual realm and you will have a feeling if something is not right. Or you may have a feeling that the information you are receiving is not of your highest good. Tell it to leave and not come back. Let the messages you receive guide you ask only for messages that are for your greatest good and for the highest good of all involved.

This just came to me I know it needs to be shared:

I hold you in my arms when you are sleeping keeping you safe through out the night.

Greetings from Julie
I hope you have been really practicing being positive and working on creating better for your self and others. The reason I say this is that we are now starting the first Mercury Retrograde of 2013. For those who know about Mercury Retrograde this should be just another time to clean out and clean up the old. But for those who have their doubts about the planet Mercury messing up something in their lives, all I can say is "Good Luck" you will need it.
When Mercury Retrograde happens and it will on 2-23-2013 or should I say it has already begun to retrograde. As I have studied the affects of Mercury retrograde for 20 plus years, I have come to know that it usually starts about three weeks earlier than marked in our calendars. Depending where the aspects of Mercury are in your chart you may feel the affects of Mercury Retrograde earlier than someone else.

So what can you do when Mercury is in retrograde that will ease the affects of it in your life? You can avoid buying big ticket items, like property, a new home, electronics, TVs, computers, automobiles. Even small items like clothes can be an issue down the road. Do not if at all possible sign any contracts or have surgery that can be done at a later time after the retrograde. The thing is that when Mercury is retrograde things can and do go wrong! Things will break down including cars, vacuums, washers and dryers, the list is endless. And if you must replace something that breaks down if possible wait or you may regret your choice of the purchase down the road. The good news is that Mercury will go direct on 3-17-2013 so if you can put off starting something new like a job do it! I know that is a hard one but I have gone through this experience and watched others also go through this really it is not fun being in a job you hate! It may start out wonderful but watch out the next retrograde you may be looking again. It is all about re-doing in fact you can just ad a little re to everything you do.

I have ignored my intuition when Mercury is retrograde several times and let me say I am getting so much better at listening to my intuition. Now I just take care to finish all the stuff I have procrastinated and put off. It may be time to clean out the clutter, I am thinking of my office it will be shredder time.
Okay one last thing, if you broke up with your love last retrograde you may get another chance to get back together but it may not work out so well once again for you so put that off too! I have to say I would not make a decision to break off a relationship in a retrograde either. That could come back to bite you where it hurts. It wouldn't be a great time so start a serious relationship with someone while we are in a retrograde for she or he may not really be the one and then you have to go through another break up.

Well now if you think about it you are now more prepared to experience the retrograde and if you just pay attention and take care to be conscious about what you put out into the universe you will do just fine. People may be a bit grouchy but, you can just smile and say in your heart and your mind "I LOVE YOU" put that energy out and see how everything gets better, better and better. Just go ahead and try it!

A Winning Attitude

We have all been through life's ups and downs, we have all have days that seem like hell and as a matter of fact we have all had days where we feel we could conquer the world. Life seems to have its ups and downs but that does not mean we have to give into the downs when things are not going our way.

By having a winning attitude it does not mean that you have to be in competition with anyone or anything. What it does mean is that you in body, spirit and mind can have a winning attitude and can be the ruler of your destiny.

When you have a winning attitude you are taking care of your body so that it will remain healthy, you are also taking care of your self spiritually by focusing on positive thoughts and letting go of judgment. By clearing your mind of negative thoughts and feelings towards yourself and other people you begin to bring forth that winning attitude.

Maybe today is the day you choose to be a winner by not eating that big piece of pie or that last piece of cake. You take your diet seriously enough to have a big glass of water instead. You then become a winner, for you have made yourself a winner by not indulging in the foods that will sooner or later make you feel bad because you had to have them.

A winning attitude is more than just overcoming food addictions it is an attitude that you can achieve anything you set your heart to achieving.

A winning attitude does not condemn but is uplifting to your spiritual growth. A person who has a winning attitude is one who believes in their self even if no one else does. Do You Really Believe in Yourself?

What kind of question is that? Of course I believe in my self!
Take a minute to think about this don't be so quick to answer!

Yes most of us believe in ourselves most of the time we know what we are capable of and what we are not capable of, right!

But what about self worth do you believe that you are worthy of better or that this is just the way life is.

Most of us have been brought up by listening to our parents and we soon acquire their judgments and feelings about certain ways of living. We also develop our own thoughts and feelings totally different and unique from any one else. Make a list of your judgments and how you look at other people. Are most of your thoughts coming from thoughts you have picked up from someone else or are they coming from you your higher self. Are they mostly positive or do you look at the negative side way too often? By making an effort to believe in the positive you will start to see changes happen that will bring you more happiness in life.

Believing in your own creative power what most people do not realize is that they are capable of much more that they really think. Everything is a learning process and with effort you can do most anything you desire. That does not mean that you need to try to do everything in life, but that you believe in yourself enough that you will make an effort to do something you haven't done at least once a week. Look for something that makes you happy of smile, maybe that is taking dance lessons or singing lessons, maybe it is drawing a picture or painting a painting. Find something each week and visualize your self doing it then give it a try, you might find that you have a great voice or can dance better than you thought. Many people have told me that they could never paint a painting yet I believe that you never know unless you give it a try.

We have so much wonderful creative power within our minds it never ceases to amaze me how everything every day is created. I look around me and am so grateful for those who have been creative and made the furniture we sit on and the computers we use I could go on and on about how one good idea has brought happiness to many. Just look around you to see all the wonderful things that have been created by people like you and me.

Where am I going with this? Well instead of thinking of all that you cannot do and all that has brought pain and sorrow think about all the good in your life. Think of all the wonderful things you have created while being upon this earth. It is so easy to think about the past events and see them so clearly in our minds. Yet it is so hard to visualize yourself six months from now doing the things that you love and being the person that you really desire to be in this lifetime. As humans we have a harder time imagining something that has not happened, because we have to see a way for it to happen. This seems to turn into thoughts of getting there and not really what you want to be doing in six months.

Believing in your self is about giving yourself permission not to figure out the how of getting there. But to keep the vision of how wonderful it is and how good you feel as you visualize the end result. Believe that you have the ability to create what ever it is that you desire in this life. By having positive happy thoughts it is possible to create a better life a better attitude about who you are and a better relationship with your spirit self and other people.

Try new things do something you have always wanted to do, let go of any feelings of "I can't" and believe that you can.
Know that you are worthy of having your desires fulfilled and let go of self doubt. When you can do this and be in a space of pure love within your self you will find that miracles do happen. It is about letting go of false feelings that do not come from your higher self and know that you are ready to learn how to believe in the positive and let go of any negative. I believe in you! Blessings Friends,

This has been quite the hectic week already for me but now things are settling down. Our seven year old Grandson was in the hospital for the last five or six days. He is now getting better, better, and better. He is at home recovering and I know his parents are worn out from this experience. I send them all blessings of healing and rejuvenation.

So this is the reason I have not put this newsletter out until now. I feel as though everything happens for a reason including the timing of this newsletter. Yea! I am finally ready to listen to the guidance I am being given on what to write about this day. Enjoy!

Spring has Began

Yes! It really is here people! I know that some of you may not believe me but I have found that a sure sign of spring is when my Turtle "Turdy" comes out of hibernation. I get so excited waiting for him to emerge from his little home in the spring. The other day I went to check to see if he had emerged yet from the hole he digs under his little home. There he was yup! Turdy is out it is spring! I may sound quite crazy being so happy that Turdy came out but each year I look forward to seeing him once again.

Springtime gives us all something to look forward too. The days of sunshine get longer and the gloom and clouds are now parting bringing forth blue skies. I wake up each morning looking forward to the new day ahead.

A Message of Love
As most of you know Spirit talks to me and gives me guidance in many aspects of my life. There have been times when I did not listen to that little voice. Times when I thought I knew better or that possibly I was receiving the wrong information. Through many years of trial and error I have earned to listen with an open heart to what information I am receiving. I have found that if I listen and react by knowing that the first thought is the right one I seem to me most accurate. Sometimes I will hear something from Spirit that repeats three times, this is when I really pay attention to what is being given me. When you listen to that little voice in your head you will come to feel the energy of what you are receiving, you will know if the message you are receiving is of love or if it is coming from your ego self.

Pay attention to the messages you receive this week take a moment to listen to the thoughts in your mind what are they trying to tell you. This is one way Spirit can connect with you. Notice the feelings you are feeling within your body, do you feel good and happy are you comfortable or do you feel uneasy? As you notice the energy of Spirit around you, you will soon be able to tell the difference.

Take time to meditate even if you think your not good at meditating you will get the hang of it. I have a ruff time quieting the voices so when I meditate I focus on a color closing my eyes and just seeing the color through my third eye. Soon the messages of love will flow in giving you a peaceful feeling.
Don't have time! Oh yes you do! When you take a shower you have two minutes to close your eyes and ask for divine guidance ask, for your Spirit Guides to guide to you through out your day. Give them thanks for the information before you receive it. Later during the day you will receive a message that may inspire you or guide you in some way.

I decided that I would do things up a bit differently this time so I have put the Birth Sign Readings at the top of this newsletter. Energy
Many times I have written about how energy works and how you can change the energy around you. There are many ways that energy works and affects us in our daily life.
I bring this up today because I had a question posed to me the other day from a young couple I had just met. They asked me if energy can cause to you feel anger or change your mood instantly?
The young woman told me that she had felt spirit energy in their home and that she thought the home may be haunted. She then told me that she had felt she had been touched by the energy while lying in bed she said that there was something touching her toes. She also said she thought it may be their young daughter so she sat up to see if the daughter had come into the room. To her surprise no one was there. The young woman also told me she felt that sometimes there was a bad energy in the home and would get angry instantly for no reason. Looking at me and nodding the husband agreed he had felt the same energy. Energy is felt daily by everyone even when they do not even realize it. Yes we are all made up of energy, but what happens when we die? does the energy go away instantly or does it remain. Do living beings give off energy? Of course they do each of us breathes in energy and also breaths it out constantly.
Have you ever walked into a place where you felt something so negative or something that angered you maybe you felt like you wanted to get out of there as quickly as you could. You may have been hit with someone else's energy. I have noticed many times when I have picked up energy that is not my own. I can tell because it is not my higher spiritual self showing up it is a heavy energy of negativity. Our higher self is one of love and positive feelings. Your higher self is your true spiritual self the one of goodness, light, love and compassion. Just by noticing the energy around you, you have the opportunity to change it if it is not positive.
Maybe you have felt something like this happen and not even noticed that it was not your energy.
In fact I felt some negative energy while waiting in line at a store last week. It seemed their computers were on the blink and the line was backing up very fast. The clerk was franticly trying to help a customer and then another clerk started ringing my purchase up only to find that the receipt tape was out.
As I stood there watching this all unfold I could feel the tensions building up rapidly. I just smiled and looked around at the other people hoping this would ease the tension. The Clerk started apologizing for the wait, as I turned back to face her. I just told her that sometimes things happen it was okay I didn't mind waiting.
Sometimes we have to really feel the energy around us and take the time to realize it is not our own. That maybe we are there to change the energy by being kind or by just smiling and saying I love you to each person quietly in your mind.
Yes energy can change a person's thoughts and moods very quickly. It can bring a happy mood down quickly just by having a quick encounter with a person who's mood is negative may change your day. And just as negative energy works so does positive energy. For positive energy can bring you joy and it can lift the mood rapidly. We all know how laughter can be so uplifting to our spirit. Just by noticing the energy around you each moment you can learn to accept the negative energy or toss it out by acknowledging that it is not your own.
Sometimes we encounter energy from those who have passed on this energy can be overwhelming at times. I suggest that you do a clearing to rid your space of this energy. You can do this by doing what is called smudging or using a sage wand that you light and let the smoke fill the rooms of your home. Be sure to open the windows so that the energy can leave. Dear Friends, I know it has been a little longer than usual since I have written a newsletter. So I guess it is time for me to get it together and write. Thank you for your, inquires asking when the newsletter it coming. Time sometimes gets away from me so please accept my apologies for my tardiness.

Life is Good
I just love this little saying it uplifts me each time I say it. Sure we all have so many things going on in life that are not so good. But when it comes right down to it you are alive, if you are reading this and that is good, my friend. So yes "Life is Good" you could choose to look at all the things that are not so good about life, but I think choosing to be positive pays off in the long run. Each time I tell myself that life is good I think about all of the things that are going well in my life. I think of all the blessings that I have been given. As I do this I have found it brings me to a great place of gratitude for all I am and all I am blessed with each day. Just three little words can make a big impact in your life if you use them each day. Life is GOOD!

Compassion
It has been quite some time since we talked about compassion, it sometimes seems like there are more bullies and less compassionate people out there. I have noticed that it seems people find it easier to put someone down rather than befriending this person and finding out what makes them tick. I watch people when I am out and about I like to see how they interact with other people. I find it quite interesting that many people are so caught up in their own lives they forget that other people have feelings too. Maybe I am just old, but I still believe in the Golden Rule! And I still believe that each person has a story to tell. Before you get angry at someone or think you know what is on their mind why not take the time to listen to them before forming a judgment about them. I read an article a few months ago that said that mean people where amongst the highest paid. Wow! That blew me away! I thought to my self, how could this happen. I guess society has changed. Although I do not feel it is for the betterment of people if we have to be mean to get more in life. I honestly think that maybe the person who wrote the article hasn't met the people who are making it in life without being mean to get what they want. I would like to think that we can change the world by each of us making a commitment to let go of the judgment we carry with us each day. By having compassion for others rather than thinking even one rude thought. When you start to change the way you view other people and the thoughts you may have about them or your perception of them into something positive you will reap the rewards of a healthier body, soul and mind. The more you have thoughts that are positive or loving the more you will see positive changes taking place in your life every day. Instead of telling someone that you already know what they are thinking, maybe you should take a moment to listen to what they are saying. We have a way of thinking about what our next words will be when listening to someone. Rather than trying to figure out what you are going to say next, just listen to them.

How many ways can you be more compassionate towards other people? Write down all the ways and put them into daily practice.

What can you change about your self that will help you to be more considerate of other people?

Dear Friends, I have so much to tell you about this week. First of all I am wishing you all a very wonderful week filled with magical surprises and great happiness. June 19th is the Luckiest Day of the Year! Yep that is what I said. 9:00 am is the most lucky time on this day. So if you are going out to buy a lottery ticket, forget it! Because I will be buying the winner! LOL!
On June 26th 2013 Mercury will be doing the retrograde thing once again lasting until July 20th 2013. Remember that Mercury retrograde seems like it always starts about two to three weeks earlier. I know I do not like it one bit either and I have not figured a way to change this. I guess it all happens for a reason. Maybe so we can finish those projects we started in the last retrograde. I have a painting I started in the last retrograde and I am looking forward to having the time to finish it.
The New moon is on Saturday June 8th. This day I call "Wish Day" because it is the day I write down my ten wishes. I hope that you will take the time to write yours also.

What You Don't See
I watched a wonderful movie called "The Magic of Belle Isle" not too long ago. I loved this movie because I truly learned from it and have had so much fun since, because I have learned to see what I don't see. I highly recommend this movie to everyone young and old.

What I didn't See!
I didn't see the big tree at the end of the road before today I only saw the smaller ones that lined the road for miles. Yet today I saw the largest, tallest tree I have ever seen. I stood there shaking my head wondering why I had never seen this enormous tree before as I walked down the lane. As I got closer to the giant tree I could see its branches reaching up into the billowy clouds and into the sky beyond my line of vision. I could see what looked to be a stair way starting at the base of the large tree. At last I was standing at the base of the tree. I could see the stair way going around and around the large tree that looked a lot like an oak tree to me. The stairs went round and up the tree like a spiral going up and up and up until I could see them no more. I thought about what might happen if I were to follow the stairs up the tree. At first I got a little frightened of where the steps may lead me. I finally decided that I have seen this tree, this day for a reason. I felt as if I had been lead to the base of this beautiful tree so why not go with it. So I took my first step onto the steps which began to move like an escalator going up and up, gliding ever so smoothly into the top of the tree and beyond. I thought to myself, do not look down stay focused on looking up. As the stairs rose into the top of the tree I could see the blue sky coming closer and closer. I could see the stairs rising into the great beyond and was amazed at the beauty and brilliance of being so high in the atmosphere. All of the sudden there was before me a beautiful golden door that opened before me as the movement of the stairs came to a stop. As I opened the door I could see many people who all were smiling at me and welcoming me as I stepped forward off the stairs.
What is this place I asked a lady to my right whom looked like she could be an angel. Smiling with a twinkle of kindness in her eyes she said to me this is the place where realities are born. What do you mean I said to her? When people are at a time in their lives that they can see the Tree of life they have a choice to come and explore other realities or stay on their own path in life. You have chosen to come and explore haven't you, she said to me in a knowing kind of way. I guess so I said in a somewhat shaky voice not fully understanding how I could be able to choose another reality to live my life in. She then told me that all knowledge of the universe was now available to me at any time and all I had to do is choose to use the stair way whenever I desired. I was told I could change my reality just by learning to think new and different thoughts about myself and my life. There was one catch though it was that I had to also keep my thoughts positive for the changes I desired to occur. All the while I listened to the beautiful Lady whose smile delighted me each time I looked at her. She told me of many things and of wonderful realities I could create right here on earth. She told me I could do this by just allowing myself to remain in a positive state of mind, without any judgment of others around me. I wondered if this were really possible to be so positive and non judgmental. At last my tour was over and it was time to go to the stairway from which this journey began. I felt a lightness surround me as I descended from the sky above me back into the branches of the tree. Walking back down the road towards the old farm house I knew I would be back to visit the largest tree I have ever seen many more times.

Staying Positive This Summer
Sometimes we all get a little busy during the summer months school is out and there are so many things to do. Vacation time nears and maybe you are a little stressed out in one or more areas of your life. Knowing when it is time to slow down, relax and unwind does not happen until you decide to take time for yourself. A time to just let go of the stress and worries of every day even if you are not in this position you still should take time for your self each day. Taking the time each day to meditate will help you to not only relax it will it can make you healthier. No time to meditate? I believe that again it is up to you to make the choice to give to yourself. When you treat yourself with kindness and love it is saying to your soul that you love yourself. It is not selfish to love thyself to love thy spirit. To know that by giving respect to yourself you are causing healing to start from within which will manifest on the outside by the beautiful energy you put out. When a person smiles you feel the truth in their smile it is like you feel their energy their genuine self comes through. When you look in the mirror and smile is it genuine or are you controlling the look you want to achieve. Summer is in full force here in sunny California! Wow! I do not think I have ever as long as I have lived here anyway experienced such hot weather for so long! I do feel for you whom live in Arizona and Los Vegas from what I hear it is hotter there. What weird weather! Okay so on to more positive things. I hope you are having a wonderful summer hopefully with family and friends. As I start to write these newsletters I ask for Divine guidance in what I should write about today I just kept getting that I was to focus on love. Hey that sounds pretty good to me. So here goes enjoy!

Pieces of Love

Each day most of us usually start the day the same old way never thinking twice about why we get so stuck in routine. Some of may just go through the motions unconsciously doing the same routine being unaware of the love that is surrounding us every day. We may just be used to ignoring the signs that pop up each day for us. If you are taking the same route to work each day maybe you should change up that route and go a different direction. You never know what may happen or what you may see by taking a different way to you destination. Love can also be routine without thought you give your spouse and or kids a kiss and hug before you go off to work each day. Yes you may feel the love on a deeper level yet somehow it is not acknowledged like it should be by the giver or the receiver. Everything that is a constant in our lives we take for granted more often that we should. Take a moment to think really think about the people in your life your family and friends. Think about why you love them and what their best qualities are and what makes them special to you.
Maybe there have been times when a family member has made you laugh so hard that it has brought tears to your eyes. Maybe a friend has brought you happiness through his or her kindness. This kind of remembering can help you to smile at the good in people. There is unlimited love all around us each day it is here for all to enjoy as much as possible. Why don't we take advantage of the possibilities that could happen for all of us? Instead of limiting our love by using judgment we should really be focusing our thoughts on all of the goodness in people. We are all guilty of judgment yes all of us on this earth have judged another person in one way of another. (If you haven't ever judged another person I would love to meet you.) Our society is different than when I was a kid a lot different. It is much better in some ways and much worse in others. It is easy to dwell on the worse scenario happening than creating something better from a bad situation. Yet it is possible to change a bad habit into a good one just by changing your thoughts. If something is negative all you have to do is change your thought just for one moment. Think of someone you love or someone who makes you smile maybe both! If a friend is having a tough time it may be time to take a laugh break with them. My daughter and I do this we will start laughing and just keep it going as long as we can. There are times we have laughed till we cried. Find new ways of remaining positive even when things are not going the way you would like them to go. You will find that you will stay positive easier and easier by practicing this daily. Find ways to brighten your day just by thinking loving thoughts and sharing loving feelings with others. The pieces of love you give out will begin to grow together and become whole in time. Maybe we will someday be able to say we stand not in judgment of others but in a place of love light and kindness towards all of mankind. That is when we reach perfection! Blessed be.

It is not all that bad really all you have to do is use caution, take care of the stuff you started and did not finish in the last retrograde. Be sure to back up your computer files, clean out the closets and make sure your car is in tip top running condition.

Greetings I hope you are having a great start to your week. I look at Monday as a starting point to the whole week, so I use my energy to focus my thoughts on the things I would love to achieve each day of the week. There are times when I have not written down the things. I would like to get done during the week. When this happens it seems like I get much less accomplished than, when I have a written list to check off the tasks one by one. Those who have smart phones can simply use a free app like
"List Note" to create a list for your weekly goals or the things you would like to accomplish during the week. Even if you do not get everything done it feels so good to check off the things you do get done. I just simply move the stuff I do not get done to the next week and I do not feel the least bit guilty for not having checked it off the list. Wishing you a great week filled with many tasks accomplished.

My son posed a question to me the other day he asked me why we can't change the Mercury Retrograde by using our thoughts in a more positive way. I have pondered this because I have been studying the affects of Mercury Retrograde for many years and have had my fair share of mishaps, break downs and other not so wonderful things happening when Mercury is in retrograde. I thought it may not be possible to change the affects of a planet or even the things that happen when a planet is retrograding. My son insists that if our thoughts can "create everything" why then can't we do this. It is a very good point! I feel to do something like this we would have to have every person in the world visualizing the change taking place and chances of this ever happening are very small. I know this may seem negative, yet I have continued to think about this. I received a message from Spirit that told me that when the planets go retrograde it is necessary for the balance to exist in our world. There are times that it is necessary for us to go backwards and review and renew to rewind and regenerate. We have to finish what we start and there are times that if it weren't for Mercury Retrograde we would not get it done. Say you have noticed the brakes on your can have been making noises you have heard them many times and thought to yourself I really should get those fixed. As time goes by you put off and put off the task of getting those brakes fixed. Mercury goes retrograde and you drive off to work one beautiful morning only to find that your brakes fail you and the car does not want to come to a stop. Oops! Now you are forced into having it done immediately. Many times we put off things that we should get done. By the time it is Mercury retrograde we are put in the position of having to do things like backing up your computer and clearing out the clutter, and fixing what is broken. When Mercury is retrograde it is not a bad thing it can also be quite useful as we can finally get things organized. During the last Retrograde I started a painting but have not finished it. During this Retrograde I have been working diligently on it hoping to finish it by the end of the retrograde. It is looking quite awesome and I am very happy I waited to work on it again. Back to the Question at hand I do believe that we can change the outcomes of things in a retrograde. If we think positive and believe that it is not a bad time at all but a time to look back and change what we haven't gotten right or finish up the old. As for thinking that you are going to go out and buy a new home, car or computer for that matter any big ticket item or electronics you buy in the retrograde may prove unfavorable or a bad investment. Sorry Son, I can't change the Mercury Retrograde and how it affects us but I can do my best to remain positive during this time. MINDFULNESS TRAINING

Have you ever noticed that when a really good meal is placed on the dining table, the conversation among everyone at the table seems to quiet down. Everyone is engrossed in savoring the taste of the food and forgets about talking. This is because they are concentrating on the enjoyment of the moment. This is the time when most people forget about talking, thinking about what they're doing tomorrow or about what they said yesterday that they wish they hadn't. This is a moment in which time seems to stand still and your taste buds, your sense of smell and sometimes even your hearing senses are active, especially if the food seems to be sizzling on your plate.

Buddhists have been using a training technique that teaches people how to be "in the moment" when they want to. The Buddhist will place a raisin on the tongue and concentrate on how the raisin tastes without chewing or swallowing it. They just pay attention to the taste on their tongue as it lays there and they make it a test as to how long they can keep that raisin on the tongue while tasting it without a chew.

When we learn how to bring all of our awareness into the "now," we are learning how to be mindful of the present and experience everything around us as well as inside us at that moment.

Most people are so busy these days, attached to patterns they have gotten into, that they forget how to enjoy every moment for what it is. A lot of people eat while they're on the go from one appointment to another or they sit in front of the television and split their concentration between their food and the show they are watching. They don't really fully taste their food and they're not aware of everything that is connected with that moment.

Do you remember when you were a child and how you could enjoy every little thing at each moment you were experiencing? Do you remember feeling the warmth of the sun while you watched a bug do his job as it scrambled across the porch? As a child, life is a mystery and each moment is an adventure. As adults we forget how to make each moment an adventure. We ignore little things that used to be important to us as children. We need to follow an old saying that says, "Stop and smell the roses."

Sometimes we just do everything out of habit. Those habits aren't necessarily the best way to live. There are habits that make us complacent and bored, instead of feeling the fascination of everything around us like we did when we were children. In order to break that habit, you need to get motivated and practice breaking it. If we can practice the act of being fully aware of the moment and experiencing that moment with all of our senses and do this intentionally, we're more likely to feel fulfilled in the life that we are experiencing.

Whether we are eating a delicious meal or enjoying a sunny morning, if we are living in the moment with as many of our senses as we can, we will get the pleasure of a full sensory experience, and we won't be bored. In fact, we'll start living with gusto, or as Anthony Robbins liked to say, "Live with passion!"

Mindfulness training is simply training our selves to stop walking around in a daze with blinders on and to get into every moment with our full attention and senses.

I hope you are all doing well this week. School is back in secession for many of you and for you who are parents I know how hectic it can get trying to work and get school shopping done. I do not know what the reasons are but I do trust that there are reasons for everything that transpires in our lives. I know it is easy to tell someone to let go of the anger and I know how hard it is to let go of the anger you may feel when you are upset about something. I hove found that by practicing positive thoughts and repeating to my self "everything happens for a reason" the situation that was frustrating usually turns out better than expected. It is up to you to make the decisions about how you react to any given situation. It will take more energy to react in a negative way than in a positive way! When you start focusing on the positive aspects of the situations you encounter and you will see your energy level stay higher than normal rather that being depleted.

With the children back in school it is time to get back on track and out of that summer time mode if only it weren't so darn hot. I am sure those of you with children are busy as ever putting your new schedules together so you do not forget something important like picking up the kids from school. I myself do not have any children in school which is a relief because I know how hard it is to get back on track after a wonderful summer vacation. Maybe you are like me and do not have any young ones at home. Fall is officially here! Well in my neck of the woods it has arrived at least this week is quite fall like.

I have been noticing lately that we have been loosing our manners to a thing called rudeness! In stead of a thank you, from a clerk at the grocery store you may receive a gesture or maybe a dirty look. If you do something nice for someone it seems to be expected instead of being a gesture of kindness. I have as of late been pushed by people whom walk by me instead of saying excuse me they just push into me and continue onward. I fine that there is less compassion for other people and more ways to criticize others for their looks or the way they act.

Many times I find my self wondering what is happening in our world and why are there so many angry people. I wonder what it is that we can do to get back that loving energy that somehow seems to be less now than in all of my lifetime. And that is a long time folks. I have thought maybe it's just me and I must be getting old. But then again I guess I just can not settle for that answer. I know that the world is changing and there is much struggle and stress for so many people. But we do not have to become a world of angry people we do not have to hold onto negative energy and claim it as our own by being that mean person or being rude to others. In the last month I have felt such negative heavy energy coming from so many people where ever I go it seems like smiles have been replaced by frowns or lost looks. I may be completely off base, but I psychically feel that a negative energy is here on this earth feeding off anger and hatred. It feels so powerful bringing doom and gloom to all who encounter it.

I also know that through love all is possible and we can change this negativity by recognizing this energy and knowing that it is not our own. The most powerful energy we have available to us is LOVE! By using love we can move past the negative energy that blocks our path. Next time someone looks at you whom is not smiling instead of forming an opinion about them think about it like this: Maybe they are having a bad day! You never know another person until you take a walk in their shoes. Smile at other people you see each day make it a habit to care a little more and believe that we can change the world by being the person you would like to meet while walking your path upon this most beautiful Earth.

Happy Halloween! Soon Trick or Treat bags will be filled with all sorts of goodies. Parents make sure you go through all your children's candy and pick out the best ones for yourself. Mercury Retrograde and Relationships

Mercury is now retrograding until the 10th of November even though Mercury will be turning direct on November 10th it is best to wait until the 15th of November to sign any important documents, have surgery or buy any big ticket item or electronics. On that note lets move on to the subject of what happens with relationships when Mercury is retrograde.

Lately I have been asked many questions about relationships and Mercury retrograde. So I thought I might clarify some of the things that may happen in relationships when the retrograde happens. If you are in a relationship that is well grounded and has a good foundation the bumps may be softer for you. There may be little arguments or bouts of anger but if you realize that Mercury rules communication, you will be more forgiving if this aspect affects your relationship. If your relationship is on rocky ground you may need extra patience and strength to get through this time. It is never good to go through a break up in the Mercury retrograde and further more it is not a good idea to go back to an old love during a Mercury retrograde for after it goes direct you may regret your decision. Greetings from Julie
This month seems to have been ushered in by the wind here in Citrus Heights CA. The wind is also bringing down plenty of leaves from the trees here in my neighbor hood. I really like the way they flow to the ground in groups or one at a time. When I am out walking George my Dog I love to swish through piles of leaves and listen to the crackling sounds they make under my feet. What is it that you enjoy about fall? The colors of the trees? Who am I?
I bet you have asked yourself this question more that once in your life. I know I have many times. I think I do this just to remind my self of who I really am. We all have times when we need to be reminded of our true purpose on this earth. I am not who I was a year ago or even five years ago and neither are you. We all change constantly, our thoughts are ever changing our lives are constantly changing and always hopefully for the better. As I get older I feel that time seems to slip by and when I look in the mirror there are more wrinkles that I want to believe on my face. But I know that change is part of getting older and wiser.
I have learned that fear is just an illusion we hold onto when we should just trust that everything will work out just right for us. We always end up okay in the end. The outcome may not be exactly how we would have liked but much better than what all that fear we held onto would have delivered.
I have also found that if you can not seem to release the fear you may have to get to your wits end before the changes will come in for you.
Life is filled with many surprises good and bad, little and big.
I have had wonderful experiences in this lifetime that have given me more strength than I ever knew I had. I am grateful for all I have experienced in this life good and bad for they give me character. I find that being positive is a way of lessoning the effects of ego and negativity. Being positive lets me look at a better side of things rather than looking at the things that bring fear and misery.
When I was young I had such hopes and dreams but they are not lost for I have fulfilled many of them and believe that without a dream the magic cannot happen and a wish cannot come true.
I have found that by looking in the mirror and seeing into my soul through my own eyes I find I love the person staring back at me. She is a good person who loves others and believes that there is a better world yet discovered one of joy and happiness one where people show love for each other and kindness towards everyone they meet. No, this is not heaven yet it is what the world might look like if we all work together at being the best person we can be each day. Don't be afraid to look into the mirror, looking deeply into your own eyes seeing the wonderful spirit of who you really are. We all have so much to be thankful for each of us has something that we can be thankful for each day not just on Thanksgiving day.
Today I look back upon my life and all the things I am so very grateful for. I feel such gratitude to have this life and to have learned so much along my path. Each day I try to find things to be thankful for. I look for ways to be a better, better and better person by being of service to others even if it is in a small way. I am thankful for the lessons I learn and know that there is a reason I have to learn them.
I am telling you this because sometimes we need those little reminders that tell us how lucky we are. If you are reading this then you already have in mind the things that you are grateful for in your life. Dear Friends,
I sat down to write this and George started bugging me it is as if he knows just when to start being annoying. Oh for those of you who do not know George is my Dog or I am his human I am not sure if I know which any more. Finally he settled down for a bit, until noon when he will insist on having his lunch. I swear he knows what time it is and when he is going to eat again. There have been many times when George has tested my patience by clawing at my leg or barking at whatever mostly cats in the night. He is afraid of thunder and of fire works it sends him into a, frenzy each time he hears them. This begins a time of trying to calm George down which takes more time than you would imagine. He will go through the house scratching on anything he can. I have tried many ways of calming him, some have worked and some he has gotten used to so they don't work as well. Anyway I have a whole story about George in my mind waiting to get out on paper. Someday it will! What I have learned from George through out the years is there are reasons for our friendship and even though I might get annoyed at times with him I always love him for he has taught me tolerance. So I sit here with George on my lap trying to calm him as I write this. He also does not like the Air compressor which is being used at this time in the garage.

This is not what I had in my mind this morning for the newsletter but it is what it is.
So I will leave you with these thoughts:
Sometimes we have to be patient with our friends no matter who they may be human or animal. We would want them to do the same for us. I believe that George came into my life to teach me things that I would never have known without him. As I also believe that people come into our lives for reasons we may not know. But as time goes on, we usually do realize the reasons. We meet certain people that teach us things about our selves without our even knowing at the time. I am blessed to have George in my life I know he will be around for awhile because Schipperke's live to be around twenty years old he is only nine years old at this time, I guess by the time he reaches twenty years I will have learned the fine art of patience or gone nuts.

The Holiday's are in full swing with only 9 days left until Christmas, I hope you are ready! I have to say at my house it is so busy around this time of year with 5 Birthdays at the beginning of December, and then Christmas it can get pretty expensive to buy and send so many gifts out to the Kids and Grand kids. This year my husband was in charge of buying the gifts for the boy's, as I took the time to make the girls in our family their gifts. I always love to make the gifts I gift for the Holiday's. I think of the person I am making the gift for and visualize loving energy going into it. I believe that when it came to my husband buying the boy's their gifts he also put great thought into them and sent lots of love to the receiver of the gift.
The point here is that it does not matter if you are making a gift or buying it as long as there are positive thoughts of the person you are giving it to in your mind at the time.

I remember one year when we did not have much money so I had been given a beautiful poem from a good friend at the time that I printed up and give to the people I love. It was more about the thought than anything else and isn't that what Christmas is all about.

Many of you celebrate the Holiday's in different ways with your own special traditions. All of which have one thing in common that is love and giving.
There may be some of you who have lost someone around the Holiday's, or had a bad experience in the past around the Holiday's. Maybe it makes this a time of grief or sadness for you that may seem to dampen the spirit of the Holiday Season. I want you to know that it is okay to have these feelings. As long as you do not use them to avoid moving forward in life and giving of your love to those who are with you in the Holiday Season and through out the year. Special Note Concerning New Years Day

As the New Year arrives so does the New Moon. It is a very special time because the New Year and the New Moon will be on the same day.
This has not happened for 19 years which to me is a very special reason to write my New Moon Wishes. Each New Moon is a great time to write ten wishes.

Each New Years Day I make a wish board my husband even gets in on the fun of cutting pictures out of magazines and words that represent what we would like in our lives in the year ahead. We then paste them onto a poster board and decorate it with colored markers. This usually consumes most of the day, yet well worth it. I can look back at my wish boards and see so many of the things I have wished for that have come true for me. My son was looking at the wish boards we has made last week he even noticed how many of the things I have wished to have, that I now have got now. It is amazing and fun for the whole family it is a tradition at our house.
Along with Black Eyed Peas with ham and Champagne for breakfast.
